At Avie-Vinson Entertainment Inc ("we," "us," or "our"), your privacy is our top priority, especially when it comes to protecting children's information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information across our services, which include:
- Vobble App – Our mobile application where parents manage accounts and settings, and where children access and interact with our content.
- Vobble Website – Our official website where parents can purchase subscriptions, sign up for newsletters or projects, and contact us for support.
1. Definitions
- Services – The Vobble App and Website.
- User(s) – Parents, guardians, and children who access or use our Services.
- Vobble App – The single mobile application used by parents for controls and by children to listen and interact with content.
- Service Providers – Parties supporting hosting, analytics, payments, logistics, AI processing, or communications.
- Content – All licensed and original stories, music, podcasts, and other materials provided through our Services.
- Created Content – Stories, transcripts, or works generated by children through interactive features.
2. Information We Collect
We collect different data types depending on whether the app is being used for parental management or child interaction.
2.1 Parental Features (Management & Controls)
Information you provide:
- Name, email, and account credentials.
- Payment details (via App Store/Play Store; Vobble never stores card numbers).
- Feedback, reviews, or voluntary submissions.
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, device model, OS version, and diagnostic logs.
- Analytics (e.g., feature usage, content selections).
- Notifications: device tokens, app instance IDs, and interaction logs. Used only to send reminders, updates, and alerts to parents.
2.2 Child Features (Interactive Audio)
The Vobble App collects only limited data necessary for personalization and interactive features. We do not collect personal identifiers like names or contact information from children.
- Listen Feature: No personal information collected.
- Create & Play Features (Voice): Children may speak to the app to interact with games or narrate stories. Voice input is processed on device and converted into text transcripts to enable these features. Vobble does not store raw audio recordings.
- Create Feature (Photos): Children may upload or take photos within the app to use as story scenes. Photos are stored securely to support the experience and ensure safety.
- Transcripts: Text generated from voice inputs is processed by secure providers (e.g., OpenAI) to support gameplay logic. These are retained for parental review and deleted no later than 12 months after the last activity if the account is inactive.
- Profile Information: Children may create a basic profile including First Name/Nickname, Month & Year of Birth, Gender, and Content Preferences to personalize their experience.
- Friend List: Children may connect with friends using private codes or QR codes. These connections are not public, require parent approval, and do not allow for direct communication or chat.
- Persistent Identifiers: Device identifiers, IP addresses, and app usage data are collected automatically solely to support internal operations (security, performance, and account functionality).
- Notifications: Non-personalized push notifications for new stories or milestones. These can be disabled in the app settings.
2.3 Website
- Support Enquiries: Name, email, and message content to respond to requests.
- Newsletter/Project Sign-Ups: Name and email address.
- Automatic Data & Cookies: IP address, browser type, and session details. We use Strictly Necessary, Functionality, and Analytics (Google Analytics) cookies.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide and personalize content and services.
- Enable interactive storytelling and voice-based games.
- Support parent-approved friend connections.
- Manage accounts, subscriptions, and parental controls.
- Improve safety, moderation systems, and compliance with laws.
- Vobble does not use children's information (including voices, photos, or transcripts) for advertising or to train AI models.
4. Data Retention
- Photos: Stored for up to 30 days to support the story creation experience.
- Transcripts: Retained to enable parental review. Deleted no later than 12 months after last activity if the account is inactive, or sooner upon verified parental request, unless required by law.
- Raw Voice Recordings: Not stored.
- Account/Parent Data: Retained for the duration of use and up to 12 months after last activity.
- Analytics & Diagnostic Logs: Deleted no later than 12 months after last activity if the account is inactive, or sooner upon verified parental request, unless required by law.
5. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell personal information. We disclose only to:
- Service Providers: AWS, Firebase, Mixpanel, OpenAI, AppStore, Play Store, and SendGrid. They are contractually required to process info only for the requested service and maintain confidentiality.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or sale.
- Legal/Safety: If required by law or to protect the safety of children.
6. Children's Privacy
Vobble complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
6.1 Parental Consent
Children cannot access Create or Play features until a parent provides verifiable parental consent. Without consent, children can only use the Listen feature, which collects no personal information.
6.2 Preventing Collection of PII
- Moderation: Voice-to-text transcripts and image inputs are screened using AI Moderation APIs to flag PII or inappropriate content.
- Prompt Engineering: Our interactive systems are designed to avoid requesting or discussing personal information.
6.3 Social Safety
- Friend Connections: Friend requests are limited to approved contacts and managed by parents. There is no direct communication between connections.
6.4 Advertising and Profiling
- No Third-Party Ads: The Vobble App is completely ad-free.
- No Behavioral Tracking: We do not track a child's location or use their info for behavioral advertising.
7. Parental Rights & Controls
Parents have the right to:
- Review the personal information collected from their child.
- Request deletion of their child's information or account.
- Revoke consent for future collection at any time.
- Control friend connections and social features.
Verification: We require identity confirmation (via App Store/Play Store transaction or email) before processing requests.
8. Content Ownership & Permissions
Vobble Content: All content made available within the Vobble app—including stories, characters, music, sound effects, artwork, and software—is owned by or licensed to Avie-Vinson Entertainment Private Ltd.
This content is provided for personal, non-commercial use within the Vobble app.
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or publicly share Vobble content outside the app unless explicitly permitted by Avie-Vinson Entertainment Private Ltd.
User-Created Content: By using Vobble's creative features, you grant Avie-Vinson Entertainment Inc. a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process, store, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your child's user-created content solely to operate and provide the Vobble service.
- Store creations securely within the child's parent-controlled account.
- Enable playback, sharing, and collaboration within parent-approved features.
- Perform safety moderation, content filtering, fraud detection, and system integrity checks.
This license does not transfer ownership or any intellectual property rights in your child's content to Vobble or its service providers. The license automatically terminates upon content deletion or account closure, except for limited retention required for safety, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Vobble and its integrated services does not use your child's user-created content for advertising, public distribution beyond parent-approved sharing, or training AI models without separate, explicit parental consent from parent. Parents retain full ownership of all content generated through Vobble's creative features, including stories, audio, and visuals created from their child's voice inputs or prompts. Vobble does not claim any ownership rights in these output where users own what their inputs produce.
9. Data Security
- Hosted on AWS servers in the U.S.
- Encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256).
- Organizational safeguards include access controls and internal safety training.
10. Legal Basis
- COPPA: We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting child data.
- CCPA/CPRA: California residents have rights to access and deletion. Vobble does not "sell" data.
11. Updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy. Parents will be notified of major changes via the Vobble App or email.
